Cash only. Only open to 3pm. Breakfast any time they say. Food was acceptable, service very good, busy and well liked in the area. Bathrooms small an busy when they are. Pictures show open times and old fire truck out in parking lot. Pictures an old fire patches inside.

The ultimate small-town restaurant! Friendly service with unique personalities. I ordered a Denver omelet with hash browns and wheat toast....I literally got my delicious food in 2 minutes and 53 seconds....no joke!

Sparks Grill is a home town café with hearty and delicious meals. They serve breakfast all day too. Sparks Grill is very popular in the area. And their collection of Fireman patches that shows that patrons have come as far away as California and Alaska.

Sparks is one of the best "greasy spoons" I have been to. The service is amazing and the food comes out quick no matter how busy they are. Since we live in Montello, this is our go to breakfast joint. Everything on the menu is good!

The food was great. Service was fast. The no frills menu is extensive. The theme is based on fire departments, hence the name, Sparks Grill. We were there on a very busy Sunday morning with about 16 family members altogether. The wait staff were so friendly even in the crush and rush of so many people. There was a bit of a waiting line but it's worth it if you have the time.

If you've never been here you are missing a great place to eat. Their food is outstanding and they get it to you quickly.

Good food, typical of a small town cafe. Good service and for the most part friendly. My issue is with the method of payment. They only take cash. They have an on site ATM that charges a $3 Fee. Our bill was only $21. ,so we had to pay an additional 14%. I know point of sale systems charge a fee but it is closer to 3%. Time to get with the times. Not planning on going back.

Sparks is always reliable for a great meal! They are open 9 to 3 every day and do NOT take credit card. But they do have an ATM.Their biscuits and gravy are great! Their chicken strips are very good as well. We've yet to find something that we weren't happy with. I fully recommend!

Stopped for breakfast with siblings (6 of us) on Sunday morning. Rude hostess, literally tossed our menus at us. Waitress was very nice. Food was lukewarm at best. Then the rude hostess was pushing us out before the last person was done. My Sister is blind and she didn't even let her get her cane out before pushing..."come on let's go!". We will not go back!!

Was on vacation for Memorial Day Weekend. Ended up taking a road trip from Fremont to Wautoma to Princeton. A friend recommended Sparks as he knew we’d be passing by. Parking lot was overflowing – but we found two open spots at the counter. After one server took our order, another stopped by to ask if we needed any help. A few minutes later there was a line in the foyer and out the door of people waiting for tables. Cooks are visible so you can watch your food prepared. It was quite the operation! One guy was just cooking bacon. Supplies being constantly delivered from the back area. Somebody else was assembling the orders and calling out for pick-up. I imagine there are military encampments that don’t work together this efficiently. It was standard fair breakfast – but the rhubarb crisp we had after was outstanding. 10/10 would go again. Worth noting - cash only – no cards.

Ive been going since I was kid. The waitress' are always friendly and you get your food really fast. They run a tight ship and everything is always good.

I came across this diner while on a motorcycle ride. Great comfort food and the staff was very friendly. I will stop back again when I am out that way again.

This is an excellent establishment with amazing employees. They worked like a fine oiled machine and produced excellent food! Stopped here on a whim and so glad we did, the prices were fantastic as well as the service and food! Definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a meal tjat feels home cooked like at grandmas.
